Nestling in a quiet countryside location in the heart of James Herriot country, with extensive views from the first floor sitting room across the open fields and woodland.
This former granary dating back to the 1800s is conveniently placed for exploring this unspoilt scenic area. Set on a working farm it has been carefully converted, yet retains the charm of its former days, providing a warm and welcoming retreat at any time.
Situated on the edge of the North York Moors National Park and surrounded by the Howardian and Cleveland hills, walks can be enjoyed from the doorstep with the Cleveland Way passing through the village, just a fifteen minute walk away.
Nether Silton with its pretty cottages around the village green has a country Inn and there are plenty of Pubs and eateries in the surrounding villages.
The market towns of Thirsk and Northallerton are close by, Pickering, home of the steam railway; the cathedral city of Ripon and the spa town of Harrogate are within a half hour drive, whilst the city of York and the heritage coastline are easily accessible for alternative days out.
This is an excellent riding area if you wish to bring your own horses, with plenty of off road bridleways, cycling routes, walkways or just chill out with your favourite book.
