Overdale Cottage is perfectly situated to explore the whole of the Peak District and is within easy reach of Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Bakewell and Matlock.
Youlgrave has three superb pubs, all serving excellent food and a wide variety of beers and wines, including locally brewed ales. There is butcher's shop/delicatessen, a butcher's shop/general store and a post office.

Directions
From Bakewell roundabout;
Take the A6 signposted Matlock.
After 2 miles turn right onto the B5056 signposted Youlgreave. Continue into and through the village, passing the church on the left and the Farmyard Inn on the right.
Bankside is approximately 25 yards on the left, just after the junction on the right for Grove Place.
Proceed down Bankside for approx 100 yards and as the path veers sharp left, Overdale is on the left hand side.
