The Showmans Wagon offers a comfortable holiday with individuality and character.
The wagon was originally built in 1935 for a family of travelling showmen and still contains many original period features.
The wagon has its own kitchen, with gas cooker, fridge and hot water. It also has a small built-in shower. The 12V electric lighting is powered by a small wind turbine nearby in an effort to reduce our farm's carbon footprint.
Sleeping accommodation comprises a separate double bedroom, and a pullout single bed.
An eco friendly compost toilet is sited nearby for the exclusive use of guests staying in the wagon. Alternatively, there is a normal flush toilet, wash basin and shower in the farmyard, a short walk away.
For a cosy evening in, there is a log fire in the main room with logs provided. Or if you fancy a taste of the wild, why not use the open fire pit for a barbeque overlooking the pasture and woodland of our small traditional Cornish farm.
The showmans wagon is sited 100 metres from the farmyard, in it's own secluded 2 acre paddock. There is no other holiday accommodation on the farm. So from the moment you arrive to find a home baked cream tea laid ready, you really can relax and enjoy the peace and seclusion.
