If you want a relaxing holiday or short break to get away from the stresses and pressures of everyday life then Greetham Retreat is the place for you! It really is a retreat for those who enjoy the peace, space and fresh air of the countryside.

Greetham Retreat offers luxurious and stylish, 4 star (Gold award)self catering accommodation specifically designed to be fresh with a contemporary style. We have 5 unique and individual self catering cottages all with full central heating and double glazing. Each one is furnished and equipped to a very high standard with oak floors, leather sofas, oak furniture and large flat screen TVs & DVD's. All bedrooms are separate from their living accommodation, (no sofa beds)and they all have ensuite bath or shower rooms, some have luxury whirlpool spa baths.

The five luxury holiday cottages are within a barn conversion that was completed to a very high specification in 2010.

Heating, hot water, all utilities, all bed linen, all towels and welcome pack are all included in the price.

We are competitively priced and offer value for your money.

Our cottages are all individual and are all different, but we are sure that you will find one to meet your needs. The 5 cottage are briefly described below;

WENDY'S WING Sleeps 2 people:
This cottage has wide doorways, suitable for wheelchairs, and a large wet room with underfloor heating. Lovely vaulted ceilings throughout with original wooden beams and a separate bedroom. This is the largest of our cottages for 2 people.

KATIE'S CORNER Sleeps 6 people:
This is our largest cottage and is very spacious and on two floors. With 2 upstairs bedrooms (1 double anf 1 twin)and 1 downstairs double bedroom, all with ensuite facilities including a bath.

LAURA'S LOFT sleeps 2 people:
It is on the first floor. Very intimate and romantic private apartment with it's own entrance door, separate double bedroom and the en suite bathroom which features a whirlpool bath. This apartment is ideal for those who want privacy and for that romantic holiday getaway. We do not allow pets in this particular apartment.

MAGGIE'S MEWS sleeps 4 people:
It has one bedroom upstairs and one bedroom downstairs, both en suite. There is a large whirlpool bath and separate shower in the master en suite bathroom. Far reaching views from this cottage's windows across the wolds to the coast.

ROSE'S REST Sleeps 2 people:
With vaulted very high ceilings and original wooden beams throughout and features a separate bedroom with king sized bed and en suite shower room. This is a cosy and snug ground floor cottage with a breakfast bar.

A RECEPTION/GUEST LOUNGE area offers a large comfortable room ideal for meeting and getting to know your fellow guests. This Lounge space can also be used exclusively if all of the cottages were taken by the same group and you wanted a large meeting/ gathering space away from your accommodation.

FACILITIES
Laundry room with large capacity washing machine and tumble drier. We've also included a large drying cupboard for walkers' and cyclists' coats, hats and boots to dry off.

A large enclosed paved outdoor COURTYARD features ample comfortable dining furniture. A lovely space for a morning coffee, afternoon tea or a glass of wine before dinner. Why not enjoy your meals 'al fresco' and enjoy watching the sun as it sets over the hill.

Over 4 acres of grounds to explore, including a large newly planted woodland with mown walkways, a tranquil wildlife pond and a lovely wildflower meadow.

Barn owls and kestrels regularly hunt these meadow areas and can give an amazing flying display.

There are also large and majestic trees within the grounds dating back to the 1890's.

There is sufficient off road secure parking near to your accommodation and we've also provided secure cycle stands.

We can supply cots (please bring your own linen), highchairs and stair gates. Mobility toilet frames, raised toilet seat and shower stool are available if required. Please ask at the time of booking. Taking away the hassle of bringing your own.

We welcome well behaved dogs, please enquire about other pets.
There is a no smoking policy within the accommodation, but smoking is permitted outside.

LOCATION/AREA
Greetham Retreat is under 3 miles from the historic market town of Horncastle, Lincolnshire and only 30 minutes drive from the beautiful city of Lincoln and several east coast seaside resorts with glorious beaches. Woodhall Spa, is only 15 minutes drive away. Visit the Petwood Hotel, home to the Dambusters, Woodhall's famous Golf Club and the unique 'Kinema in the woods' (a cinema experience you cannot miss). The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight at RAF Coningsby, is a short drive away.

Greetham Retreat is ideal for walkers, cyclists and those who wish to get away from it all and experience the peaceful enjoyment of the countryside.

The famous poet Laureate Alfred Lord Tennyson was born and spent his early years in Somersby, a stone's throw away.

4 acres of beautiful private natural grounds with new woodland areas, wildlife pond and wildflower meadow all with mown grass pathways throughout and seating taking advantage of the beautiful panoramic views. The grounds are excellent for relaxing and enjoying the wildlife which lives and frequents our grounds throughout the year.

There is also a courtyard or large patio just outside all the cottages which is a real sun trap and has a south west aspect. This is furnished with quality tables and chairs for your use and enjoyment.

Tariffs vary through the year from £230 per week for a cottage just for 2 people up to £700 per week for a cottage with 3 bedrooms sleeping 6 people over Christmas or New Year and high season.

Prices vary depending on which cottage and the time of year required.

Short breaks of 3 or 4 nights also available all year.
