Esgair Wen cottage is a beautiful 16th century stone built property.The cottage has been recently renovated and refurbished to a high standard. Original exposed beams and thick stone walls add to its character.
Surrounded by beautiful countryside and with glorious views of Cader Idris, Esgair Wen cottage offers a haven of peace and tranquility and is a warm and welcoming base from which to explore the area.
This well presented cottage is comfortably and tastefully furnished throughout. It has a well equipped kitchen with washer-dryer, dishwasher, electric cooker, microwave,fridge and freezer.
There is an open plan dining room-sitting room with leather sofas, flame effect fire and a 32inch LCD TV with Sky freeview and DVD player with a large selection of DVDs.
Upstairs, there are two double bedrooms and one single bedroom, all with exposed beams. The large landing with two armchairs and a coffee table, offers a cosy area in which to read and relax. There is a shower room with a large shower, wash basin and wc.
Towels, bed linen and a welcome tray are provided.
The surrounding countryside offers many scenic walks including Precipice walk, Torrent walk and Cader Idris, and is popular with walkers, cyclists and bird watchers.
The renowned cycle trail Centre at Coed Y Brenin is only a short distance away. (Bicycle storage is available at the cottage).
The sandy beaches of Barmouth and Fairbourne are both less than 15 miles away, as is Bala, which offers excellent water sports.
