There are fishing and seal-watching trips throughout the summer.

Take a walk along the beach to Broadstairs for delicious ice cream and some brass band music in the bandstand.
Also within the locality is Margate (Turner Gallery and Dreamland) and Whitstable (famous for oysters and fresh seafood).

Drive to the seafront and drive past the harbour. At the bottom of the hill, take the third exit on the roundabout and follow signs for East Cliff. The flat is situated within the crescent at the top of the hill. See map.
