Directions
From Douglas Sea Terminal bear left, go over the bridge at the head of the river and immediately turn right at the roundabout on the other side, keeping the Marina on your right-hand side and following the road out of Douglas towards Castletown. Keep straight on until you reach a large roundabout. Here left onto the A5 ‘Castletown’.
After 5.5miles you will reach Ballasalla village. Here turn right at the first mini roundabout and left at the second one following ‘Ballabeg’ and ‘Colby’ out of the village. After 0.5 mile turn right at the ‘crossfourways’ crossroads signposted ‘Silverdale’.
Follow straight on for one mile when the road goes downhill and bends right then left over the Silverburn river. The road is overhung by trees here and going up the hill you take the second entrance on the right by a stone cottage (exactly 1.4 miles from Crossfourways), down the lane and arrive at Ballachrink Barn Cottages.
