From Pickering to Newton-on-Rawcliffe:
Approximately ¼ mile after entering the town speed limit, turn left at the roundabout towards the centre of Pickering along the A170 which links Thirsk to Scarborough.
After approximately 200 yards, turn right at the only set of traffic lights.
Follow this road for approximately 4 ½ miles to reach Newton-on-Rawcliffe.
Approx. 40 yards on right a pay & display car park - use this if you want to visit the (small) Safeway supermarket there or the tourist information centre on the opposite side of the road.
After a further 40 yards, a road from left and a road from right. Keep straight ahead!
Pass North York Moors Steam Railway Station on left, terraced housing on right.
Leave restricted speed limit and proceed to new bridge level crossing (about ½ mile away) under a canopy of trees, passing fish farm on left.
On entering Newton-on-Rawcliffe (speed restriction) you will find us approximately 300 yards on the right - facing the village green and just before the pub.
You will see the 'let's holiday' sign on the end of 'Mallard' cottage. just before this cottage is a concrete drive and before that is our 3-storey house.
Go up the drive and ring the doorbell on the right - where the 6 foot wooden fence meets the back of our house - to let us know you have arrived. Please note that we do not hear a knock on our front door!
Have a safe and trouble-free journey.
