Directions
From the South:

* Leave the A1(M) at junction 58, and take the A68 to Corbridge, the route bypasses Corbridge, (though you can go that way if you wish; quite a good "8 till late" Co-op, off licence & various places to eat, only 15 minutes from your destination)
* Carry on up the A68 to Stagshaw Roundabout.
* Where there is a pub called the Errington Arms, here you head North still on the A68 for about 6 ½ miles and turn left, signposted Hexham.
* Travel 1.4 miles and turn right, signposted Barrasford.
* At the tee junction turn right and go 1 ½ miles through Barrasford then you turn right to Gunnerton.
* The cottages are on the right in the middle of the village just past the phone box.

From the North:

* Take the A68 south, taking care to stay with it where it joins the A696 shortly after Rochester.
* From this junction travel 12.9 miles then turn right, marked Barrasford Park (this turn off can easily be missed)
* Follow this road for about 2 ½ miles into the village of Gunnerton, the cottages are on the left, the turning just before the phone box.

From the West:

* Take the A69 almost as far as Hexham.
* Take the A6079 to Acomb, go through Acomb, then Wall, go straight over the crossroads.
* At Chollerton turn left (just before the Church) marked Barrasford and Wark.
* Follow this road through Barrasford for about 3.1 miles then you turn right to Gunnerton.
* The cottages are on the right in the middle of the village just past the phone box.

From the East:

* Take the A69, carry on until the Wylam exit.
* Turn immediately right and then take the first exit at the roundabout, follow this short narrow road to a tee junction and turn left, (You are now on the "Military Road" built on the course of Hadrian's Wall by General Wade to carry troops in the post-Jacobite years.)
* Follow the road until you come to Stagshaw Roundabout and a pub called the Errington Arms, here you head North on the A68 for about 6 ½ miles and turn left, signposted Hexham.
