The Lodge is less than 2 miles from Llandovery, where there are bus and train connections. The Heart of Wales train line stops in Llandovery, on the route between Swansea and Shrewsbury, both major rail hubs. A taxi can be called from the train station, where there is a collectively run café in the renovated station waiting room. Cycles can also be hired locally.

Llandovery is on the main A40 London to Fishguard trunk road. It is also on the A483 Swansea to Chester road.

The nearest airport is Cardiff, which is 80 miles away.
