Directions

By Car:
Less than 1 mile from the A12 (between Ipswich and Lowestoft). You can approach from either end of town on the B 1121 then turn west onto Chantry Road at the town's only traffic light, or along the B1119 then right onto Mill Road which becomes Chantry Road. Approx 70 miles from the M25 J28 (1 1/2 hours journey time). Parking is roadside, and it is usually possible to park within 50-100 yards of the cottage. (Visitors can park directly outside to unload bags, etc., before parking up).
By Train:
There is a direct rail service from London-Liverpool Street (journey-time approximately 1 1/2 hours) and from other parts of the country. Saxmundham railway station is approximately 100 yards away.
