Greenwood Granary is a spacious and comfortable first floor conversion of a former granary in glorious rural surroundings. It is in a large garden attached to the sandstone farmhouse belonging to the owners who live on site with their children and pets.
This is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with easy access to National Trust properties, open gardens, castles, steam railway lines, the coast, Battle (1066 Country), Tunbridge Wells, Brighton and Eastbourne. Children are also spoilt here with a high number of attractions for all ages. LaserQuest and Trax go karting for the older ones and Blackberry Farm (guinea pigs, donkeys and rabbits), for example, for the little ones.
Greenwood Granary is an ideal base for diverse outdoor pursuits. From birdwatching to beachcombing, sailing to cycling or hang gliding to horse riding, almost anything is possible! Graham and Sarah will be happy to help you plan your stay.
The accommodation has only recently been completed to a very high standard with solid oak floors and doors and new fixtures and fittings throughout.
An external wooden staircase leads to the front door with a lobby area for coats and shoes. The open plan living area has sofas, coffee table, TV, DVD player and music centre. At the far end is the kitchenette to one side and dining table and four chairs on the other. The kitchen is equipped with integrated fridge with freezer section, dishwasher, ceramic hob and combination microwave with grill and conventional oven.
Three steps down lead to the bedroom suite comprising the master bedroom off which is a dressing/landing area (with two chair beds suitable for children) and shower room with WC. The bedroom has two large single beds which can be zipped together to form a SuperKingSize bed. There are bedside tables with lamps, hair dryer and ample drawer and wardrobe space.
Outside and downstairs there is a Utility Room with washing machine, etc. and space for muddy boots and muddy dogs.
Please note:
There are two fenced ponds and an electric fence on one perimeter. One pond is within the fenced private area of garden for guests.
