The East Cliff railway takes you to Hastings Country Park, where the view are specacular.
The West Cliff railway takes you to the top of the Cliff where you can find the Smugglers Caves, Hastings Castle and the "1066" story.
The Old Town of Hastings is 1 mile from the holiday home and has many antique shops, tea rooms, bistros and restaurants.
In nearby Battle, a beautiful old town, you can tour the castle and learn all about the 'Battle of Hastings'.
Hastings is very close to the town of Battle which is well known for "the battle of Hastings" that took place there in 1066.
The historic town of Rye is 11 miles away.
There are a lot of places to visit with historical interest and Castles, including Hever Castle and Gardens, Bodiam Castle and Leeds Castle. All are very interesting and worth a visit.
If Railways are of interest to you there is the Kent & East Sussex Railway. From the market town of Tenterden in Kent to Bodiam, East Sussex. Vintage steam and heritage diesel trains dating from Victorian times will transport you bank in time.
If wine or beer are your interest, there are many vinyards and Brewery Tours at the Shepherd Neame Brewery in Faversham, Kent.
Canterbury Cathedral is worth a visit and can eaily be reached for a day visit.
The newly opened LAPLAND UK is just 18 miles away at Lamberhurst, Bewl Water Park, for the whole family to enjoy at Christmas time.

Disabled Facilities: Yes. Wheelchair access to the ground floor with a ground floor bedroom on the same floor. There are three steps leading to the two other ground floor bedrooms. The socket outlets and the light switches are wheelchair friendly as are the ground floor door widths. It is possible for a wheelchair user to access the dwelling from the position of the car, without having to negotiate any steps, due to the external paving being laid to various slopes. Also on the ground level of the property is a wide door wash room and w.c.Please ask if you need further clarification of facilities for the disable or wheelchair users.

To book a holiday we require 1/3rd Holiday rental plus the breakages deposit of £100 as a deposit to confirm booking and the rest of the cost 8 weeks or more before start of holiday.
We prefer bank transfer payments, but will accept cheques, giving time for clearance. At present we cannot accept debit/credit card transactions.
Deposit is refunded within three weeks of departure, direct to your own bank account or by cheque.
The prices stated are for an single average sized family.
We do not accept Stag and Hen Parties. The owners reserve the right to decline a booking.
This is essentially one family accommodation. If you wish to book for two families together or over four adults please check with owners for pricing.
