If you like the outdoor life, enjoy a holiday with accommodation in an idyllic country setting, this is the ideal place for you. Our self catering holiday cottages are approximately 2.5 miles from the historic town of Llanidloes with delightful views overlooking the magnificent Severn valley.
There are 3 cottages to choose from adjacent to one another and groups are also welcome.
The Cottages:
"Oak" is the smallest it sleeps 2 in a double room.
"Beech" sleeps 4 guests, 2 in a small double and 2 in a bunk bed ideal for children.
"Cedar" the largest cottage sleeps 4, two in a double and two in a twin room.
Each cottage is well equipped with TV/DVD and CD players in the sitting rooms and an equipped kitchen (no dishwashers). There is a shared freezer and washing machine in our laundry room for guests' use.
Guests may also take advantage of our new sauna and spa cabin, located in the cottage garden with fantastic views of the valley. There is a small charge to be paid locally to use these facilities.
The situation is one of peace and quiet, a location where you can relax and get away for a peaceful break. The cottages are situated just 4.5 from Hafren Forest which is great walking and cycling country.
We have storage for bikes and a drying room for wet clothes. The Elan Valley sometimes known as the Lakeland of Wales is just 30 minutes drive away.
Other places of interest include Devil's Bridge, Machynlleth, Powis Castle and the coastal towns of Aberdovey, Borth and Aberystwyth.
Short breaks are also available (minimum 2 nights stay).
10% discount to guests arriving by train, free collection from Caersws or Newtown stations by prior arrangement.

By Train:
Direct services from Birmingham & Wolverhampton to Newtown or Caersws stations (free collection and 10% discount for guests arriving by train).
y Coach:
From Birmingham National Express to Llanidloes (free collection from town).
By Car:
Take the A458 to Welshpool, The A483 to Newtown. Join the A489 and continue for 6 miles before joining the A470 to Llanidloes. Turn right to Llanidloes.
Go straight over the roundabout, use Market Hall as a roundabout and take the 3rd exit into Shortbridge Street*, go over the river bridge, keep left, continue straight until you pass through Glan-Y-Nant.
Barn View Cottages, Drain Byrion is the 2nd turning on your right. Proceed up the concrete drive and pass the bungalow on your left, then through the farm gate. Continue up the hill and Barn View Cottages are on your left, and the Old Farmhouse and parking area are on your left.
