St Magnus Haven is a single storey self catering holiday cottage with seaview in the picturesque village of Pennan near Fraserburgh, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. Its seafront position provides amazing sea views from the sitting and bedroom windows.
The sitting room has a pretty Victorian open fireplace, TV, CD/radio a large selection of books with two settees one being a bed settee.
The well equipped galley kitchen/dining area has an electric cooker, fridge freezer, microwave, washing machine and incoming telephone. This room leads through a sunny verandah to the secluded enclosed walled garden with table and chairs
The cottage sleeps 2/3 and has a downstairs bathroom with overbath shower.
The pictureque village of Pennan is situated on the seafront at the bottom of cliffs midway between Banff and Fraserburgh in North East Aberdeenshire and the red telephone box, used in the film 'Local Hero' starring Burt Lancaster, still remains and has become quite a tourist attraction.
Pennan, surrounded by open countryside, nestles beneath cliffs with the most beautiful seaviews. Seals and dolphins can often be spotted in the sea which is also popular for surfing.
A birdwarchers haven, the cliffs are full of many seabirds such as gannets, fulmars, guillemots etc, and as such are now looked after by the RSPB.
Pennan is an ideal base for golfers being surrounded by Aberdeenshire's many attractive golf courses and is also within easy reach of a newly opened driving range in Macduff, which also has a rather nice cafe attached.
