Footway Cottage is a fully modernised ex Railwayman's home situated just outside the ancient market town of Stanhope.
The master bedroom provides a wonderful view of open country, a stream, and wooded slope from the comfort of a luxurious double bed.

Bedroom two is twin bedded with views across the dale and overlooking The Weardale Railway and River Wear. Both rooms have the original timber flooring.

The fully tiled family bathroon has toilet, handbasin and bath with shower. All are situated off a small landing.

The living room has a feature fireplace,laminate flooring, two sofas, TV with Freesat and DVD player. There is a music centre available.

The fully equipped kitchen/diner has intergrated fridge freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, oven and hob. A microwave and slow cooker are also provided.

To the rear of the property is a decked area, which catches the morning sun, and to the front is a gravelled area, ideal for sitting out to enjoy the evening sunshine.
The cottage has a small lock up garage.

Local Services: Stanhope's delightful High Street with full range of shops, cafes and pubs as well as an outside swimming pool is close by. A walk of appox one mile walk along a quiet country road towards Frosterly will bring you to a "Real Ale Pub" that also serves food.

Directions
By road leave the A1M at junction 58 and join the A68 signed for Bishop Auckland and Corbrdge and travel for approx 17 miles. Leave the A68 and turn left onto the A689 signed for Wolsingham. Travel 8.8 miles passing through Wolsingham and Frosterley and on to Stanhope.

Just before entering Stanhope and with the fuel station in sight turn sharp left at the farm onto an unclassified road which crosses the River Wear and railway and within 0.3 miles. The road takes a sharp left and leads directly to cottage, which is on the left.

Weekly reservations are from Saturday to Saturday and are from 4pm on day of arrival, to 10am on day of departure. Bookings are on a weekly basis during peak season, however 3/4 day breaks are available in low season.
