Originally a local inn The Ship has been tastefully converted, retaining original features and furnished in a traditional style.
It is fully centrally heated with a cosy living room with an open fire with TV, DVD, radio and CD player and original window shutters. There is a large sitting room and dining room. A well equipped modern kitchen that includes microwave, dishwasher, double oven, fridge and freezer. The utility room contains a fully automatic washing machine and tumble dryer.
There is a furnished patio area and terraced garden with steps that lead to the orchard.
The property has two double bedrooms one with a four poster bed and the other has an en-suite bathroom/wc and shower cubicle. There are two twin bedded rooms, all bedrooms have TV. There is a sofa bed if the property needs to accomadate ten people. The main bathroom has a claw foot cast iron bath and shower cubicle.
Duvets with linen and towels are provided and a travel cot and high chair are also available.
All fuel ie gas electric and solid fuel are provided free of charge.
Please note that matches and fire lighters are not provided due to safety reasons. The Ship has a strict No Smoking Policy and No Pets are allowed in the property.

Directions
From the South:
Leave the M6 at junction 38 follow the A6260 to Appleby. On entering Appleby pass the turning on your left hand side for Colby then you notice the white house on the corner. This is The Ship.
From the North:
Leavt the M6 at junction 40 and follow the A66 for Appleby. When you enter Appleby turn right over the bridge and follow the road up the hill and down past the castle on your right you will see a white house. This is The Ship.
