The cottage has been renovated to a high standard, and provides comfortable accommodation for couples or families. A wood burning stove was added in 2012.
It is a two minute walk down steps to the sea wall at Wheelers Bay, or about 5 minutes to the Esplanade and beach at Ventnor.

The roof terrace provides wonderful views across Wheelers Bay and over the Downs behind Ventnor, and is an ideal place to relax and dine outside.
The Victorian seaside town of Ventnor has a mild climate, due to the sheltering cliffs and southern aspect and is one of the sunniest spots on the island.
The Esplanade has a crescent shaped Blue Flag beach and a small harbour where you can buy locally caught fresh seafood.
Steephill Cove with a beautiful beach, restaurant and the Ventnor Botanic Gardens can be reached by the coastal footpath. An easy stroll east along the sea wall, takes you to the pretty village of Bonchurch where Charles Dickens wrote part of David Copperfield.
Further afield the Island has many beautiful walks and cycle rides.
There are tourist attractions to suit all ages and tastes, from Osborne House and Carisbrooke Castle to theme parks, such as Black Gang Chine and Robin Hill.
Please note that the steps and roof terrace may be unsuitable for people with limited mobility. These are used at guests own risk and unsuitable for unsupervised children.

If travelling by car you can reach Ventnor by taking the coast road through Shanklin, A3055 or over land from Newport following the B3327. Ventnor town centre has a one way system which you will enter on the High street. Follow the one way system on to Victoria Street and as the one way system takes a sharp right turn go straight on remaining on Victoria Street passing the Volunteer Public House on your right. Continue straight on Victoria Street passing Dudley road on your right and turning left on to St Catherine Street. Number 11 can be found approx 150 meters from the beginning of St Catherine Street on your left. Please note St Catherine Street is a one way street.
