The harbour itself offers the excitement of a working fishing port and is also the place to book your seat on a boat trip across Torbay or to neighbouring Dartmouth. Or you can stroll around the maze of narrow streets to see the quaint colourful cottages and get a birds eye view the harbour, marina and bay.
A walk up to Berry Head is rewarded with stunning views and amazing walks. You can also join the South Devon Coastal Path or wander around the Napoleonic Fort at the Berry Head Country Park National Nature Reserve.
In the evening, Brixham's harbour is lit with coloured lights, whose reflections dance across the water. The many bars and restaurants come to life, offering a wide range of dishes including the day's catch of fish and shell food.
Other attractions nearby include: at Churston - an 18 hole Golf Course, Go-Kart Track and the Railway Station, where you can catch the Steam Train to Kingswear; at Paignton - a Water Park and Zoo; at Babbacombe - a Model Village and Cliff Railway to the beach.
